Sierra Thompson

Sierra Thompson serves as the Director of Volunteer Management & Strategic Initiatives at the Women's Center of Brevard since July 2021, focusing on designing and directing volunteer programs while supporting organizational priorities. Previously, Sierra held the position of Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator at SOUTH BREVARD WOMENS CENTER INC from April 2019 to July 2021, where responsibilities included recruiting and training volunteers and promoting community education on women's issues. Sierra's experience also includes a significant role in the US Air Force Reserve as an Aerospace Ground Equipment Technician from 2008 to 2020, and various positions at Aging Matters in Brevard from June 2016 to April 2019, culminating in a Program Coordinator role. Academic credentials include a Master’s degree in Nonprofit Management from the University of Central Florida and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Appalachian State University.
