Rulan Parekh

Vice President, Academics (research, Education And Innovation) at Women's College Hospital

Rulan Parekh has extensive experience in the academic and medical field. Rulan is currently serving as the Vice President of Academics (Research, Education, and Innovation) at Women's College Hospital. Prior to that, they held the position of Division Director in the Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto. Rulan has also been a Professor of Pediatrics and Medicine at the University since 2008. Rulan worked as an Associate Chief Clinical Research at The Hospital for Sick Children from 2016 to 2021. Earlier in their career, they were an Associate Professor at Johns Hopkins Medicine from 2000 to 2008.

Rulan Parekh completed a Masters of Clinical Research Design and Biostatistics from the University of Michigan from 1997 to 1999. Prior to that, from 1991 to 1999, they also completed a Fellowship in Nephrology, as well as residencies in Pediatrics and Internal Medicine, at the University of Michigan. Before their time at the University of Michigan, Rulan Parekh obtained a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at Albany Medical College in 1991. Additionally, they attended the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) from 1985 to 1988.
