Carlos Omaña

Carlos Omaña is currently the CTO - Líder de Tecnología at Wompi since March 2022. Prior to that, they worked at McKinsey & Company from May 2017 to March 2022, where they held various roles including Digital Expert, Digital Specialist, and Senior Digital Analyst. Before that, they were the COO and Partner at Disruption Labs from October 2014 to May 2017. Carlos also worked as a Contratista at Superintendencia de Notariado y Registro from December 2014 to December 2015. Carlos Omaña worked at Agencia Nacional de Defensa Jurídica del Estado as a Contratista from July 2013 to December 2014. Carlos had roles as a Contratista at Unidad Administrativa Especial de Catastro Distrital from November 2012 to April 2014 and from August 2013 to July 2013. Carlos Omaña worked as a Freelance Mobile App Development Consultant and Developer from April 2012 to November 2012. Carlos was an Ingeniero de Desarrollo at Mareigua from January 2011 to March 2012. Carlos Omaña also worked as a Desarrollador T1 at Indra from June 2010 to January 2011. Carlos began their career as an Asistente Administrativo at Universidad de los Andes from August 2008 to December 2008, and later became an Asistente Graduado from January 2009 to June 2010.

Carlos Omaña completed their Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad de Los Andes from 2003 to 2009. Carlos then pursued a Master's degree in Computer Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana from 2011 to 2013. Additionally, they also obtained another Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Universidad de Los Andes during the same period, 2003 to 2009.

Carlos has also obtained several certifications to complement their education. Carlos became a certified Big Data Engineer and Big Data Professional from Arcitura Education Inc. in June 2018 and December 2017, respectively. Carlos also obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in August 2020, and the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services in December 2018. Furthermore, they gained the Certified ScrumMaster® certification from Scrum Alliance in November 2018.
