Tess Salvatore

Head of Customer Support at Wonderschool

Tess Salvatore is the Head of Customer Support at Wonderschool. Prior to that, they worked as a Scholar Support Associate at Success Academy Charter Schools, where they established and communicated clear and organized special education processes to school leadership and teachers network-wide. Tess also managed relationships between multiple constituents, including the NYC Department of Education’s Committees on Special Education and related service agencies to ensure student success. Tess has also consulted with School Management, Senior Management, Learning and Development, and other network departments to provide guidance on special education systems and trainings for school-based staff.

Before working in education, Tess was a Discovery Guide Coordinator at Wildlife Conservation Society, where they managed volunteer program for Prospect Park Zoo and developed and led docent training sessions. Tess also trained docents to interpret animal exhibits, lead tours, and assist with educational programs for a wide variety of audiences. Tess produced new interactive conservation science curricula with original activities and materials to be implemented at exhibits throughout the zoo.

Tess Salvatore holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Natural Resources and Conservation from Cornell University. Tess also participated in a study abroad program focused on wildlife management and conservation at The School for Field Studies.
