Jennifer Shewan

Jennifer Shewan is the VP of People at Wonolo. Jennifer has over 8 years of experience in Human Resources, specifically in the areas of Talent Management, Employee Engagement, and Employee Relations.

Jennifer started their career at Avid in March 2012 as the Americas HR Lead and Senior Global HR Business Partner. In this role, they were responsible for leading the Talent Management process and modernizing the approach and tools. Jennifer also built employee engagement programs focusing on Performance Management, Leadership, Best Practice, and Wellness.

In November 2020, Jennifer joined Wonolo as the VP of People. In this role, they are responsible for all aspects of HR, including but not limited to: Talent Management, Annual Merit Increase Process, Rewards and Recognition programs, Workforce Planning, and Employee Engagement programs.

Jennifer Shewan has a Graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management from McGill University, a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre from Concordia University, and a DEC in Psychology and Theatre from Champlain College. Jennifer also has certification from IBM in Human Resources in a Cognitive Era - Solutions and Human Resources in a Cognitive Era - Essentials, and from LinkedIn in Hiring, Managing, and Separating from Employees, Human Resources: Leadership and Strategic Impact, and Strategic Human Resources. Finally, they have certification from the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés (CRHA) in Conseillers en ressources humaines agréés (CRHA).
