Sepideh Moradivand is a dedicated researcher and preservation architect with extensive experience in the fields of wood composites, cultural heritage, and architectural restoration. Currently serving as a Junior Researcher PhD Candidate at Wood K plus - Kompetenzzentrum Holz GmbH, Sepideh focuses on integrating data science technologies in wood production processes. Previous roles include research assistant at the European Students' Association for Cultural Heritage, intern in furniture design research, and a preservation architect where Sepideh led restoration projects in Yazd Heritage City. With a solid academic background that includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Wood Science and a Master of Science in Material Science from Tallinn University of Technology, Sepideh combines technical expertise with a passion for preserving cultural heritage.

We are a leading research organisation in the area wood and wood-related renewable resources in Europe. Our core competences are materials research and process technology along the complete value chain – from raw material to finished products. We develop methods and basics and perform applied research on the economy-science interface, in order to enable resource-efficient management in the circular bioeconomy. As COMET K1-Center of the COMET Programme – Competence Centers for Excellent Technologies - we are funded by the Austrian ministries BMK, BMAW and the federal states UpperAusria, LowerAustria & Carinthia. The programme COMET is operated by the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG).
