Elena Belletti has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Currently, they are the Global Head of Carbon Research at Wood Mackenzie, starting in November 2021. Prior to this, they worked at the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs from 2015 to 2021, serving as an Economic Affairs Officer with a focus on taxation and environment. Elena also worked as a Business Consultant and Senior Economist at Palantir from 2014 to 2015, and as a Senior Advisor at Eni Trading & Shipping SpA - UK Branch in London from 2010 to 2014. Earlier in their career, they held roles such as a Translator at Elevatori – The European Elevator Magazine from 2007 to 2010, an Intern in the Microfinance Sector at Mimoza (Bellwhether Trust) in 2009, and an Intern in the Finance Initiative at UNEP in 2008. Elena also worked as a Trainee at Deutsche Bank in 2007 and as an Intern in the Analysis and Planning Unit at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2007, where they provided support in reviewing studies on economics and international politics.
Elena Belletti's education history includes a Masters of Public Administration in Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia University in 2019-2020. Elena also has a Masters degree in Energy and Environmental Economics from Scuola Mattei - eni Corporate University in Milan, Italy (2009-2010). Elena holds a Masters of Science in Economics and Social Sciences from Università Bocconi in Milan, Italy (2006-2009), as well as a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Social Sciences from the same university (2003-2006). Elena briefly studied Economics at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2005. Elena obtained their High School Diploma in the scientific field from Liceo Scientifico A.
