Johanna Normiala

Johanna Normiala has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Johanna is currently working at Woodio as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) / Development Director, leading Product Management and R&D functions. Prior to this, they were the Head of Product Portfolio at Woodio and was responsible for overseeing the product portfolio.

Before joining Woodio, Johanna worked at Evac Group as the Head of Product Management in the UK, Germany, and USA. In this role, they managed a team of 10 direct reports and oversaw 30 employees. Johanna was responsible for managing multi-million-euro R&D investments and activities for product development portfolios globally.

Johanna also worked at Bonava as the Product Portfolio Manager, where they led product development and management teams. Johanna was responsible for offering development, product management, and service design. At Oras Ltd., they held various positions including Product Portfolio Manager, Portfolio Manager for Product Marketing and Brand Management, and Project Manager for Product Engineering.

Their early work experience includes roles at Rolls-Royce as a Sales Support Engineer and at KONE as a Project Manager in Sales & Marketing Support. Johanna also started their career as a Trainee in the Technical Department at KONE France.

Throughout their career, Johanna has gained experience in leading teams, managing portfolios, overseeing R&D activities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Johanna has demonstrated strengths in product management, marketing, and sales support.

Johanna Normiala completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering from Häme University of Applied Sciences, HAMK, between 1997 and 2001. In 2000, they also participated in an international exchange program at Université de Bordeaux, focusing on Marketing and International Business. Additionally, in 2018, Johanna attended a course on Lean Principles for Efficiency in Product Development at Ratekoulutus Oy. Johanna further enhanced their skills in service design through a program at Aalto University Executive Education and Professional Development in 2019.
