Aixalis Bothel

Vice President Food Safety and Quality Assurance at Woodland Foods

Aixalis Bothel has a strong background in food safety and quality assurance. Starting in 2001, they worked as an Associate Scientist at Goglanian Bakeries, Inc., where they supervised quality staff, established operating procedures, and maintained the HACCP program for food safety compliance. They were also involved in product development and resolving customer complaints.

In 2006, Bothel joined Ventura Foods as a Quality Assurance Supervisor, where they conducted investigations into customer complaints and production issues. They also collaborated with R&D on new project formulations and worked to meet customer specifications.

Over the years, Bothel progressed within the company and took on roles such as Quality Assurance Manager and Regional Quality Assurance Manager. In these positions, they oversaw multiple food facilities, optimizing performance and compliance. They developed and implemented FSMA, Food Safety Plans, and Preventative Controls, ensuring compliance across southern plants. Additionally, they led quality assurance efforts, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions to prevent recurring problems.

Most recently, Bothel joined Woodland Foods as the Vice President of Food Safety and Quality Assurance in 2022. In this role, they utilize their leadership and business acumen to drive company growth and build partnerships.

Aixalis Bothel's education history includes attending Purdue University. They obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Genetic Biology, as well as a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology.
