Julie Travis, PHR, SHRM-CP

Julie Travis, PHR, SHRM-CP has extensive experience in human resources, particularly in the role of Director of Human Resources. Julie currently holds this position at Woodland Foods, starting in May 2022. Prior to this, they worked at SG360, a Segerdahl company, where they served as the Director of Human Resources from March 2010 to May 2022. In this role, Julie demonstrated expertise in various HR functions such as employee relations, HR policies and procedures, training, safety/OSHA compliance management, benefits administration, talent acquisition, and performance management. Julie reported directly to the CFO, overseeing two direct reports and delegating workflow to HR representatives in other facilities. Julie is known for their proactive and enthusiastic approach to HR, and they excel in motivating and building teams to enhance benefits, culture, wellness, and safety initiatives.

Julie Travis, PHR, SHRM-CP has a diverse education history. Julie obtained a certificate in Society for Human Resource Management from Northern Illinois University in 2013. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in International Business from Carthage College, completing their studies between 1988 and 1991.

In addition to their formal education, Julie has acquired several certifications. Julie obtained the Professional in Human Resources (PHR®) certification from the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) in December 2013. Julie has also obtained certifications in various programs related to FSSC 22000, including Internal Auditor Training - Packaging Manufacturers, Prerequisite Programs for Packaging Manufacturers, and Introduction to FSSC 22000. Lastly, they hold a certification in PHR from the SHRM Society for Human Resource Management.
