Elodia Ortega-Lampkin

Superintendent at Woodland Joint Unified School District

Superintendent Elodia Ortega-Lampkin possesses a diverse range of experience throughout her 31-year career in education. Her career began as a student-teacher at Dingle Elementary School and she served in the California Mini-Corps Program as a tutor/para educator at Grafton Elementary in Knights Landing (currently Sci-Tech Elementary).

Her first full-time teaching position was at Maxwell Elementary School. She served for nine years as a classroom teacher before transitioning to administrative roles. Elodia has served as the Associate Superintendent of Educational Services for WJUSD; Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Education for Lodi Unified; Director of Elementary Education and English Learner Services for WJUSD, as well as Director of K-6 Interventions, Principal, Assistant Principal, and California Mini-Corps Program Instructional Supervisor.

Elodia has deep roots as a member of the Woodland community and long-time resident, having served on the City of Woodland’s Planning Commission, the United Way Education Committee, the Yolo Family Resources Center, and the Yolo County Mexican-American Concilio. Her four children all graduated from Woodland schools.
