Isabel Deakin's work experience includes various roles in the field of architecture and design.

From 2014 to 2015, they worked as an Architectural Intern at Murmur: Architecture and Environments, where they were involved in site surveying, schematic design, and fabrication for different projects.

In 2015, they also worked as a Research Assistant at The University of Melbourne, focusing on topics related to technology in archives and the perception of brutalism in popular culture.

From 2016 to 2016, Isabel worked as an Instructor for Teen Arch Studio at UCLA, providing instruction to students.

In 2016, they also served as an Architectural Intern at Hodgetts + Fung, gaining practical experience in the field.

Starting from 2017, Isabel worked as a Junior Designer at XTEN Architecture, where they were involved in various design projects until 2020.

From 2020 to 2021, they worked as a Job Captain at KEVIN TSAI ARCHITECTURE INC., taking on more responsibilities in project management.

In 2021, Isabel joined Lyons as a Designer, contributing to design projects until their move to Woods Bagot in 2022, where they currently work as a Designer.

Isabel Deakin completed their education in a chronological manner, starting in 2009. From 2009 to 2012, they attended the University of Melbourne and earned a Bachelor of Environments degree in Architecture. Isabel also pursued a Diploma of Languages during the same time, specializing in Italian. In 2011, they participated in an Education Abroad Program at the University of California, Berkeley. Later, from 2013 to 2016, they continued their education at UCLA and obtained a Masters of Architecture degree.
