Julia Farleigh

Julia Farleigh has extensive work experience in various roles within the design industry. Julia is currently employed as a Designer at Woods Bagot since March 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Freelance Photographer & Graphic Designer, providing services mainly to theatrical companies since 2015.

Julia also gained experience as an Interior Designer at Cox Architecture from January 2019 to March 2021. Julia worked on multiple projects ranging from small to large scale with a focus on Workplace Design, while also gaining experience in Education and Hospitality Design.

Before Cox Architecture, Julia worked at dwp | design worldwide partnership as an Interior Designer from February 2016 to January 2019. Julia worked on various projects, handling tasks such as spatial planning, client presentations, coordination with consultants, detail documentation, and selection of finishes and furniture.

Julia's earlier experience includes working as a Digital Demonstrator at UNSW Australia in August 2015, as an Interior Design Student at dwp|suters for a short period in 2014, and as a Swim School Supervisor and Learn to Swim Instructor at Col Jones Swim Fitness from May 2013 to July 2014.

Julia Farleigh pursued their education in a chronological manner, starting with their Bachelor's degree from UNSW in Built Environment with a focus on Interior Architecture. Julia completed this program from 2012 to 2016, achieving an Honours Class 2 Division 2. Subsequently, in 2014-2015, Julia studied at Politecnico di Milano, where they obtained a Master's of Science in Interior Design.

Furthering their academic journey, Julia Farleigh enrolled in UNSW once again in 2021-2022 to pursue a Master's degree in Curating and Cultural Leadership, focusing on curatorial practices and developing leadership skills within cultural institutions.
