Kurt Peter Hanzlik

Kurt Peter Hanzlik has extensive work experience in the field of architecture and design. Kurt Peter currently holds the position of Project Leader - HQ at MC2 - Masdar City at Woods Bagot since April 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Resident Manager at B+H Architects from May 2020 to April 2022, where they focused on ensuring the successful delivery of ongoing construction projects during the challenges of Covid-19. From July 2018 to May 2020, Kurt served as a Project Architect at GRIMSHAW ARCHITECTS, leading the coordination of the Dubai Expo 2020 sustainability pavilion "Terra" and the base build. Kurt Peter also worked as an Architect at KPH Design from October 2017 to July 2019, leading an initiative for the Canadian Pavilion concept proposal at Dubai Expo 2020. Kurt's previous experiences include roles as a Project Architect at Killa Design, Assistant Resident Engineer at SSH Design - Oman, Part Time Professorship at The Canadian University of Dubai, Lead Architect at Cox Group, and Senior Project Manager at Asymptote Architecture. In these positions, they gained expertise in project coordination, team management, design review, and client interface, among other responsibilities.

Kurt Peter Hanzlik attended Carleton University from 1978 to 1983, where they earned a Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) degree with a focus on Architecture. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications throughout their career. These include being a Licensed Architect since July 2005 by the Ontario Association of Architects (Canada), a LEED Accredited Professional since July 2004 by The U.S. Green Building Council, a PQP - Pearl Qualified Professional since December 2012 by the Urban Planning Council Abu Dhabi - Estidama Pearl Rating System, an IOSH certification in November 2016 by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health, and the certification for Adapting Urban Density to the Pandemic Challenge from the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat, obtained in May 2020.
