Sterling Nielsen is an Associate Attorney at Woods, Fuller, Shultz & Smith P.C. since May 2019, following a legal internship at MetaBank in summer 2017 and an internship in the United States Senate with Senator Thune in 2016, where Sterling contributed by researching legislative issues and addressing constituent concerns. Previous experience includes an internship at Avera Health focused on optimizing transportation methods and conducting financial efficiency analyses. Education includes a Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of Florida, a Master’s degree in Accounting from the University of South Dakota, a Juris Doctor from the University of South Dakota, and a Bachelor's degree in Business/Managerial Economics from St. Olaf College.
