Benjamin Weiss

Benjamin Weiss is a Marine Robotics Engineer at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, where notable achievements include leading the development of the Reef Acoustic Playback System (RAPS) for coral reef rehabilitation and co-inventing an Automated Line Seeder for the kelp aquaculture industry. Previously, during a fellowship at Sweet Water Foundation, Benjamin integrated technologies to enhance agricultural operations. As co-founder of Havenly Treats, a non-profit, job training fellowships were provided to refugee and immigrant women. Benjamin's experience extends to internships at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where contributions included improving collaborative design processes. A graduate of Yale University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Benjamin also holds teaching experience from high school and summer camp settings.
