Kodiak Firesmith has extensive experience in systems administration, primarily focusing on Linux environments and storage solutions. Currently, Kodiak serves as the Systems Administration Lead at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, with a history of progressive roles, including Principal and Senior Systems Administrator. Prior experience at Carnegie Mellon University involves serving as a Sr. Linux Systems Administrator, where contributions included acting as the IT liaison for AI/ML projects and managing RedHat Enterprise Linux servers. Kodiak's expertise encompasses the administration of OpenAFS cells, integration of Windows and RHEL infrastructures, and the use of configuration management tools such as Puppet. Additionally, Kodiak is recognized as a community contributor to the Red Hat Pulp project. Educational background includes studies at Front Range Community College.
