Jaco Viljoen

Jaco Viljoen serves as the Hydrogen Development Lead at Woodside Energy since February 2017, focusing on green Hydrogen and Ammonia opportunities within the New Energy sector. Key responsibilities include managing feasibility studies, evaluating renewable power sources, overseeing grid connection applications, and engaging in project management and business development. Previous roles at Woodside involve acting as Engineering Focal Point for Ops Transformation, where efforts were concentrated on enhancing cost efficiency through simplification and digitization, and serving as Browse JV Coordinator, facilitating technical discussions among joint venture stakeholders. Earlier experience includes a position as System Engineer at Karratha Gas Plant and a Summer Internship at Western Power, specializing in substation design and earthing. Jaco Viljoen holds a degree from Curtin University, completed in 2016.
