Karelis Holuby P.E has a diverse work experience in the energy and engineering sectors. Starting in 1999, Karelis worked as an Electrical Engineer at PDVSA Petroleos de Venezuela S.A., where they supervised field construction activities for the construction of a new refinery. From 2003 to 2012, they served as a Lead Electrical Engineer at Foster Wheeler, working on conceptual, basic, and detail engineering projects in petroleum refining and oil production industries.

In 2012, Karelis joined Gulf Interstate Engineering as a Chief Engineer Electrical, where they ensured projects were adequately staffed and collaborated with project managers to address schedule and resource challenges. Karelis then moved to BHP Petroleum in 2013 and took on various roles, including Senior Electrical Engineer, Facility Engineering Manager, Head of GOM Surface Engineering, and Head of HSE Business Partnership.

Karelis'sresponsibilities at BHP Petroleum involved overseeing electrical operations at offshore sites, managing the corporate planning process, coordinating responses to asset challenges and opportunities, and leading the HSE and business partnership functions.

Most recently, Karelis joined Woodside Energy in 2022 as the VP HSEQ Project. In this role, they are responsible for ensuring high standards of health, safety, environment, and quality within Woodside projects.

Karelis Holuby P.E. obtained a degree in Electrical Engineering from Universidad de Oriente (VE) between the years 1994 and 1999. In addition to their educational background, they have also acquired a certification in "Leading with a Heavy Heart" from LinkedIn in July 2021.
