Matt Martone

Matt Martone is an experienced reservoir engineer currently serving as the Calypso Pre Development Sr. Reservoir Engineer at Woodside Energy since June 2022, specializing in the characterization of Calypso Fields and strategies related to appraisal well execution and resource deliverability. Prior to this role, Matt Martone worked at BHP from May 2014 to June 2022, taking on various positions including Sr. Reservoir Engineer in both pre-development and appraisal contexts, as well as focusing on strategy and business development in the petroleum sector. Earlier experience includes work in the Permian Wolfcamp appraisal and development, deepwater production evaluation in the Gulf of Mexico, and involvement in significant acquisition projects. Matt Martone holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University, earned between 1999 and 2003.
