Dharmendra Gurve, PhD has a diverse work experience in the fields of technology, AI, neuroscience, and machine learning.
Starting in 2012, they worked as a Technical Associate at Starbru TechSystems, where they designed and tested PCBs, wrote micro-controller programs, and supported the design of robotic defense and object recognition systems.
From 2015 to 2016, they served as a Research Assistant at the University of Mumbai, working on signal processing algorithms for biomedical sensors and designing PCB boards for signal acquisition.
In 2017, they became a Machine Learning Researcher at 2020 Armor, where they developed a lightweight unsupervised machine learning algorithm for real-time scoring and provided support for signal processing and machine learning in their hardware.
In 2016, they started as a Graduate Assistant at Ryerson University, where they oversaw engineering undergraduate students in practical experiments, assisted in grading exams and reports, and taught courses on signals and systems, human-computer interaction, and rehabilitation engineering.
Dharmendra later worked as a Computational Neuroscientist at AAVAA Inc. - McGill University in 2020, before transitioning to roles as a Machine Learning Researcher at Bosch and a Project Scientist at Ryerson University in 2021.
Currently, Dharmendra Gurve holds the position of Head of Technology & AI at WOODSPecker, starting in 2022.
Dharmendra Gurve, PhD, obtained their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Rajiv Gandhi Prodyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, where they studied from 2008 to 2012. Subsequently, they pursued their Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Digital Signal Processing at the National Institute of Technology, from 2013 to 2015. Lastly, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Digital Signal Processing and Machine Learning at Ryerson University, where they were enrolled from 2016 to 2019.
