David Rupert has over 20 years of experience in the medical laboratory field. David started their career at King Fahd Military Medical Center, where they served as a Senior Medical Laboratory Technologist. After that, they worked at Bali International Medical Centre as a Medical Laboratory Technologist and Technical Consultant. David then joined London Health Sciences Centre as a Medical Laboratory Technologist, specializing in the Blood Transfusion Laboratory. David currently holds the role of Director of Laboratory and Cardiorespiratory at Woodstock General Hospital. In this position, they supervise laboratory and respiratory staff, ensures regulatory compliance, and oversees quality control programs. Throughout their career, David has gained expertise in areas such as hematology, blood transfusion, and implementing laboratory procedures.
David Rupert has a strong education history in the field of healthcare administration and management. David obtained a Master's Degree in Health Studies with a focus on leadership from Athabasca University, where they studied from 2010 to 2014. Prior to that, they completed a Certificate of Health Services Management at the Canadian Healthcare Association from 2008 to 2010.
In terms of their undergraduate education, David earned a Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences from Lakehead University, where they studied from 1994 to 1996. David also holds a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from Mohawk College, where they studied from 1990 to 1993.
Additionally, David has obtained various certifications in their field. David is certified in Joint Health and Safety Committee Certification for healthcare through the Public Services Health and Safety Association, which they obtained in March 2018. David is also Lean Green Belt certified through EZSigma Group. Furthermore, David holds certifications as a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) from both the Canadian Society of Medical Laboratory Sciences (CSMLS) and the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO). David also holds the certification of Medical Technologist (MT) from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP).
