Michael Shaughnessy began their work experience in 2003 as a Management Accountant and FP&A analyst at CHANEL. Michael then worked as a Finance Manager at Bourjois from 2006 to 2007. From 2007 to 2011, they served as the VP FP&A at Prologis. Michael joined Starhome Mach in 2012, where they held roles such as Senior Manager of Business Reporting and Analysis, and Finance Director. In 2015, they moved to NewVoiceMedia, taking on positions including Head of Financial Planning and Finance Director Asia Pacific. Michael took a career break in 2019 and sailed before joining WoodWing in 2020 as the company's Financial Director, and later becoming the Chief Financial Officer.

Michael Shaughnessy is a highly educated individual with a diverse academic background. Michael holds a Chartered Accountant degree from CIMA Qualified, specializing in Accounting and Business/Management. In addition, they have a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Information Systems and Technology from City, University of London, which they obtained from 2000 to 2001. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biology/Biological Sciences at the University of Sussex from 1995 to 1999. Michael's commitment to professional growth is evident through their certification as a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) from CIMA.
