Director, Job And Education Center at WORCESTER COMMUNITY ACTION COUNCIL INC

Jenna Wills has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Jenna started their career in 2009 as a Senior Assistant to the Lead Grower at Longview Flowers. From 2013 to 2015, they worked as an Agency Relations Coordinator at the Worcester County Food Bank, where they served as a dedicated contact for partner agencies and was involved in the development and maintenance of advocacy efforts.

In 2015, Jenna took on the role of Wayfinding Project Manager at the City of Worcester, overseeing a project aimed at improving navigation in the city. Jenna then moved on to become the Working Cities Worcester Initiative Director from 2016 to 2019, where they managed the day-to-day tasks and ensured project sustainability, particularly in the local food economy and workforce development.

Jenna joined Wormtown Brewery in 2018 as a Taproom Staff member, providing customer service and support. Simultaneously, they took up the role of Bank On Worcester County Program Coordinator from 2017 to 2019, focusing on financial inclusion initiatives.

From 2019 to 2021, Jenna worked at the Worcester Community Action Council as the Manager of Workforce Development. In this role, they established the managerial infrastructure for workforce development programs and aligned them with WCAC's strategic plan. This was followed by their position as the Senior Program Manager of Employment & Community Partnerships, where they provided supervision to JEC staff, participated in hiring and onboarding, and supported professional development opportunities.

Jenna's most recent role at the Worcester Community Action Council is Assistant Director of the Job and Education Center, starting in April 2022. Jenna now works closely with the Director to provide overall guidance and direction for the department's growth and programming strategies. Additionally, they also serve as the Director of the Job and Education Center, starting in October 2022.

Jenna Wills completed their Master of Arts in Community Development and Planning at Clark University from 2012 to 2013. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from the same university, specializing in Geography, Urban Development, and Social Change, from 2008 to 2012. In addition to their formal education, Jenna has obtained certifications such as ServSafe Manager from the National Restaurant Association in June 2019, Certified Beer Server from the Cicerone® Certification Program in February 2019, and eTIPS on Promise 3.0 from Tips Alcohol (specific dates not provided).
