Kristen Billiar

Kristen Billiar is a distinguished professional in the field of bioengineering, currently serving as a Professor and Department Head at WPI since 2002. Kristen has held leadership roles in various organizations, including Co-Chair for the Biomedical Engineering Society 2022 Annual Meeting and Chair for the ASME Bioengineering Division from July 2019 to July 2020. Prior to the academic role, Kristen worked as a Staff Engineer at Organogenesis Inc from 1998 to 2002. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Bioengineering from the University of Pennsylvania, attained in 1998, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University, completed in 1991.
