Jeremy Chambers

Jeremy Chambers serves as the Department Head and Professor at South Dakota State University since February 2024. Prior to this role, Jeremy held multiple positions at Florida International University from November 2011 to February 2024, including Interim Chair, Associate Professor (with tenure), Director of Doctoral Programs, and Assistant Professor. Jeremy's research focuses on drug discovery related to neurotoxic compounds and neurodegenerative diseases, training students at various academic levels. Earlier experiences include roles as a Research Associate at Scripps Florida, an Adjunct Professor at Palm Beach State College, and a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Jeremy earned a PhD in Biochemistry from Clemson University from 2003 to 2007.
