Essi Pohto

Essi Pohto has a diverse work experience history. They started their career as a Trainee at WordDive in May 2017 and later worked as an Italian language specialist & customer support associate until August 2018. From September 2018 to December 2019, Essi served as an Italian, German, and English language specialist. They then transitioned to the role of English, Italian, and German Language Education Specialist from January 2020 to June 2020. Essi was promoted to the position of Head of Language Learning and held this role from June 2020 to May 2022. Currently, Essi works as the Director of Language Learning at WordDive, starting in May 2022. Prior to their time at WordDive, Essi was a Substitute Teacher of Italian at Jokelan koulukeskus from February 2017 to April 2017. They also have experience working as a Machine Operator at Gemalto from June 2015 to April 2017.

Essi Pohto obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities from the University of Helsinki. Essi completed this degree between 2012 and 2016. Subsequently, Essi pursued a Master's degree in Education at the University of Helsinki, which they completed from 2016 to 2019.
