Residential Services Administrator at Work Skills

Amy Sheibar is the Residential Services Administrator at Work Skills Corporation. Amy has developed an AFC licensed residential program that will be CARF accredited and has 12 years of experience serving adults with traumatic brain injuries (TBI). Amy oversees the daily operations of a full-spectrum residential program, including case management and program coordination. Amy also manages the coordination of care with external providers, develops, implements, and oversees behavior treatment plans, and coordinates the admission process, prescreening, assessment, obtaining prescriptions, and setting up services. In addition, Amy integrates vocational services as a component of a residential treatment program, manages direct care staff, markets and sources potential referrals, and creates a cost effective, responsible budget.

Previously, Amy worked as the Associate Director of Admissions and Behavior Analyst at Eisenhower Center for 11 years and 2 months. There they provided behavioral support for individuals who had sustained a TBI and worked with a multi-disciplinary team including case managers, family members, guardians, psychiatrists, physicians, and legal professionals. Amy conducted behavioral assessments to determine placement and supervision needs and developed behavioral treatment plans to reduce maladaptive behavior and maximize strengths. Amy also provided individual and group counseling, trained staff to implement behavioral treatment plans, and managed behavioral incidents with an emphasis on de-escalation. In addition, Amy provided support and education to family members and developed a semi-independent living (SIL) program.

Before that, Amy worked as a Behavioral Psychologist at Integro LLC for 3 years and 5 months. And before that they were a Program Coordinator at Lenawee Intermediate School District for 1 year and 2 months. Earlier in their career they worked as a Graduate Assistant at Eastern Michigan University for 1 year 7 months and as a Research Assistant at the University of Michigan for 2 years 7 months.

Amy Sheibar has a Master's degree from Eastern Michigan University and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan. Amy is also a certified instructor for the Crisis Prevention Institute.

The team that Amy Sheibar works with is the Residential Services team. This team is responsible for the administration of the residential services provided by the company.
