Sabena Hiney

Sabena Hiney has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles.

Starting in 1994, Sabena worked as a Software Engineer at Admiral Computing Ltd, where they were part of a team developing a telephone banking client-server system. Sabena also worked on an advance marketing system database product called MIND during their time there.

From 1996 to 1997, Sabena worked as a CTI Consultant at TTM Time to Market UK Ltd, where they focused on front-end development for the "Magnet" project, an information system for the financial market.

From 1997 to 2000, Sabena joined HELIX Computing Ltd as a CTI Consultant for Lloyds TSB integration project. Sabena'srole involved leading a development team in upgrading the telephone banking system to a Windows-based system.

In 2000, Sabena joined KANA Software as a Technical Consultant in the Professional Services Team. Sabena'sresponsibilities included implementation, integration, and consultancy for the company's customer interaction software.

From 2001 to 2003, Sabena worked as a Project Manager at Lloyds Bank, specifically in the Telephone Banking development system. Sabena'srole involved managing projects from design to implementation and overseeing user training and system support.

Sabena then joined The James Clinic in 2005 as a Project and Practice Manager, a role they held until 2014.

Most recently, Sabena joined Workhuman in 2019 as an Engineering Manager.

Sabena Hiney's education history begins in 1989 when they enrolled at Maynooth University. Sabena pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Theology, completing their studies in 1993. Following this, in 1993-1994, they obtained a Higher Diploma in Information Technology from the same university.

After a significant gap, Sabena returned to Maynooth University in 2014 to pursue a Master's degree in IT Management, which they completed in 2015.

In addition to their formal education, Sabena has obtained several certifications. In June 2019, they became a Product Owner certified by Scrum.org. In December 2019, they achieved the Scrum Master Certified (SMC) designation from Scrum Alliance. Lastly, in December 2020, Sabena acquired the Radical Candor (Blinkist Summary) certification from LinkedIn.
