Carlijn is a skilled writer and has maintained a blog called "Bionda in Italia" that explores cultural differences between the Netherlands and Italy. Furthermore, Carlijn has experience as an Online Communication Specialist at BDO Nederland and as a Sales Assistant at Hunkemöller. Carlijn completed an internship at Artrain Express, where they gained experience in various artistic disciplines.

Carlijn De Nijs obtained a Master's degree in Business and Management from the University of Plymouth in 2010. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Communications with a focus on Corporate Communications from Fontys University of Applied Sciences in 2009. Carlijn's education started in 1993 at Trumakkers, Heeze, and they later attended Strabrecht College from 1998 to 2004, where they pursued a VWO degree in Economie en Maatschappij.
