MacArena Lolas

Macarena Lolas is an accomplished professional in the fields of medicine and biotechnology, currently serving as the Director Ejecutivo at Growmiracles Spa and a Médico at WORKMED SpA since November 2020. With a robust background in program and project management, Macarena held positions at Diassess Inc. and Lucira Health from May 2016 to June 2020, contributing to research on influenza testing methods. Macarena's academic journey includes a Postdoctoral Scholar position at UCSF, where research focused on iPS cell differentiation toward hepatocytes, and visitor researcher roles in Dr. Robert Tjian’s laboratory at both HHMI Janelia Farms and UC Berkeley. Macarena earned a Medical Degree from Universidad de los Andes and a PhD in Biotechnology from Universidad Andres Bello, where research investigated non-coding mitochondrial RNA and its impact on cell proliferation.
