Corporate Trainer at Workplace Options

Rickie Banning has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries and roles. They started their career in 1980, working in various capacities in the Fortune 500 and Federal sectors, including as a consultant, regional manager, and onsite subcontractor. During this time, they served as an account manager to an employee assistance program (EAP) firm and worked with clients in the financial services, technology, and insurance sectors, among others.

In 1994, Rickie joined the US Postal Service as a Workplace Improvement Manager in the HR department. In this role, they were responsible for designing and implementing key HR systems, coaching, employee relations, and training. They remained in this position until 2007.

After leaving the US Postal Service, Rickie worked at various organizations in roles such as faculty instructor at the University of Phoenix and adjunct faculty in the organizational leadership track at Southern New Hampshire University. They also held the position of Director at WorkLife Hawaii, where they provided strategic leadership and grew the business.

Since 2018, Rickie has been working as a corporate trainer for Logistics Health Incorporated, providing behavioral health services. They have also worked as a corporate trainer for Workplace Options, delivering on-demand training to organizations in Hawaii and online webinars to businesses across the US. Additionally, Rickie has worked as a corporate trainer for Balancing Life's Issues, providing training in business, communication, and organizational issues.

Throughout their career, Rickie has demonstrated expertise in various areas, including coaching, consulting, training, leadership development, conflict resolution, workplace bullying prevention, and diversity programming.

Rickie Banning's education history begins in 1969 when they attended McDaniel College. While there, they pursued a major/minor program with a focus on Psychology and English. This academic pursuit continued until 1972. From 1972 to 1973, Rickie attended the University of Maryland, where they completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and English. Afterward, from 1977 to 1980, Rickie attended The Catholic University of America, where they earned a Master of Social Work degree with a specialization in EAP-Business Focus.

In addition to their formal education, Rickie has obtained several certifications. They became a Conversational Intelligence C-IQ Certified Business Coach in January 2017 through the World Business & Executive Coach Summit (WBECS) and the CreatingWE Institute. In May 2001, Rickie received the SPHR certification from SHRM. They also obtained a CEAP certification from the Employee Assistance Professionals Association (EAPA) in 1984. More recently, in January 2019, Rickie obtained the LCSW certification from the Hawaii Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs (DCCA).
