Jason Gibson

Jason Gibson is a seasoned health and safety professional with extensive experience in workplace safety and investigations. Currently serving as the Manager of the General Inspectorate at WorkSafe New Zealand since December 2013, Jason oversees a team of Health and Safety Inspectors to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation. Previous roles include Health and Safety Investigator, where Jason focused on investigating serious workplace incidents, and senior management positions overseeing teams of investigators. Jason has worked with the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, the Department of Labour, and held earlier positions in production supervision and law enforcement with the NZ Police. Jason holds a Diploma in Police Studies and a NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
