Juan-Luis Toledo has a diverse work experience in the agriculture sector. Juan-Luis worked as an Engagement Lead for WorkSafe New Zealand starting in February 2022. Prior to that, they held the role of Senior Offshore Assessor at the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) from April 2021 to February 2022. Additionally, they worked as an Independent Consultant specializing in international agricultural education, where they collaborated with government agencies and industries in New Zealand and Latin America on various projects from December 2018 to March 2021.
Before their consulting role, Juan-Luis served as the Director of the Latin America New Zealand Business Council from January 2017 to March 2021. Juan-Luis also had a long tenure at Primary ITO-ASL starting in June 2010, where they held the position of International Business Development Project Manager. In this role, they facilitated communication between governments, the private sector, and communities to implement agricultural training solutions and develop regional and national strategies for international projects in the agricultural sector. Juan-Luis also played a key role in finding and creating new revenue streams for government and private sector organizations in Latin American governments. Juan-Luis concluded their time at Primary ITO-ASL in December 2018.
Juan-Luis Toledo received their Bachelor's degree in Science majoring in Biology from Universidad de Chile in 1991. Juan-Luis continued their education at the same university and obtained a distinction in Agricultural Engineering with a focus on Animal Production from 1992 to 1997. Juan-Luis also completed a PRINCE2 Foundation course, although the specific dates are not provided.
