Melissa Roy

Melissa Roy has extensive work experience in supply chain management and project coordination. Melissa currently works at WorkSafeNB/Travail sécuritaire NB as a Supply Chain Management Category Lead. Prior to that, they held the role of Supply Chain Management Specialist at the same company.

Before joining WorkSafeNB/Travail sécuritaire NB, Melissa worked at T4G Limited for many years. Melissa began their tenure as a Content Delivery Specialist in the Content Services Team and later took on the role of Office Manager for the Saint John Office. Melissa then transitioned to become the IT Procurement Manager, responsible for managing IT procurement processes. Finally, Melissa served as a Project Coordinator, collaborating closely with Project Managers to develop project plans, manage risks, and handle administrative tasks such as invoicing and contract management.

Melissa obtained a degree in Business with a specialization in Information Systems Specialist from New Brunswick Community College, where they studied from 1999 to 2002. In 2013, Melissa earned a Microsoft Certified Professional designation in Designing and Providing Microsoft Volume Licensing Solutions to Small and Medium Organizations from Prometric.

In 2020, Melissa enrolled in the Supply Chain Canada's Supply Management Training (SMT) program. Melissa completed the Procurement Module and attended seminars in Business Management Marketing and Contract Management Strategies for Success. In the same year, they also obtained a Precision Drafting Certificate from The Procurement Office.

Continuing their education in 2021, Melissa completed the Operations Management Module as part of the Supply Management Training (SMT) Program offered by Supply Chain Canada. Melissa also attended the Information & Technology Procurement & Related Contracting Seminar.

In 2022, Melissa completed the Logistics module of the Supply Management Training (SMT) Program with Supply Chain Management Canada. Melissa also attended the Osgoode Certificate in Negotiating and Drafting IT Agreements program at York University - Osgoode Hall Law School. Additionally, they participated in a Competitive Bidding, Contract Management & Preparation Workshop offered by Supply Chain Canada.

Melissa's educational journey continued in 2023 when they obtained the Osgoode Certificate in Public Procurement Law: The Rules in Practice from York University - Osgoode Hall Law School. Melissa also completed the Transportation Module of the Supply Chain Management (SMT) program with Supply Chain Canada.

Apart from their formal education, Melissa has also earned several certifications. Melissa obtained the Negotiation Skills certification from LinkedIn in September 2022. Melissa also completed courses on Tips for Writing Business Emails, Enhancing Productivity with Effective Note-Taking, and Supply Chain and Operations Management Tips, all offered by LinkedIn. Additionally, they earned the Osgoode Certificate in Public Procurement Law: The Rules in Practice from Osgoode Professional Development in June 2023.
