From urban design to government projects, from collaborating with transit engineers to clients at Workshop/APD, Krista Wiryomartono is a veritable Swiss army knife of architectural design. Growing up in Toronto, she was fascinated with architecture from an early age, and while earning an undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto and a Master of Architecture at Columbia University, she became focused on work with an environmental and sustainable scope. A true asset to their ever-evolving practice, Krista came to Workshop/APD seeking a more holistic approach, along with a desire to explore new project typologies and locations through the full design/build process. Her simple, clean and natural style is influenced by Japanese and Scandinavian aesthetics, and a desire to create feelings of comfort and ease with her designs.
