Tyler Chavers

MD, Interiors at Workshop/APD

An Alabama native, Tyler began her diverse design career in Washington D.C., overseeing and approving architectural standards for embassies as a State Department intern. From there, she transitioned to residential design in a boutique D.C. firm, working on classical homes but dreaming of trying her hand at commercial interiors. A role at a larger firm working on federal and corporate projects convinced her that commercial design was not her passion, but also helped to crystallize an understanding of her unique talent for logistics and project management. Tyler made her way to New York City, and into a freelance role where she honed her skills in building and managing the logistical framework that is integral to the execution of every successful design project. Tyler came to Workshop/APD as a purchasing agent in 2017, but quickly took on the responsibilities of an accounts manager, then rising to her current role as project manager for the interiors team. Structured, organized, and analytical, Tyler works hand in hand with Nicole Ficano to manage staffing and workflow, also streamlining efforts between design and architectural teams, serving as an advocate for the interiors group and ensuring the creative and financial health of each project. A hyper-efficient problem solver known for clear, concise communication and sterling client relationships, Tyler also leads best-in-class concierge services for complex projects including a private oceanfront resort in The Bahamas. She holds a BA in Interior Design from the University of Alabama.
