Darren Baker Csmp® M.ismi®

Darren Baker is an experienced professional with a strong background in security and risk management. Darren has held various leadership positions in well-known companies, including Workspace Group and Sainsbury's. At Workspace Group, they served as the Head of Security and Risk Management, where they developed and implemented an Enterprise Risk Management system and managed internal audits to enhance business value. Darren also acted as the single point of contact for Audit and Risk Management. Prior to that, Darren was the Head of Security at Sainsbury's, where they managed the end-to-end crime management process and provided specialized training on topics such as the Bribery Act 2010. Darren also owned the contract for Civil Recovery and oversaw its implementation. Earlier in their career, Darren served as the Regional Head of Profit Protection at Sainsbury's, managing a team of Regional Profit Protection Managers and handling a significant budget. Darren was also responsible for a large geographical area with multiple stores. Before entering the private sector, Darren worked as a Sniper in the British Army.

Darren Baker CSMP® M.ISMI® attended Brays Grove from 1984 to 1988 but did not obtain a degree or specify a field of study. In 2016, they obtained an Advanced Professional Certificate in Investigative Practice (APCIP) BTEC Level 7 from Bond Solon Training. In 2019, they earned a Certified Security Management Professional Dip, Level 6 from the ISMI - International Security Management Institute.
