The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) was established in 1999 as an international independent agency to lead a collaborative worldwide movement for doping-free sport. As the global regulatory body, WADA’s primary role is to develop, harmonize and coordinate anti-doping rules and policies across all sports and countries. Our key activities include: scientific and social science research; education; intelligence & investigations; development of anti-doping capacity; and, monitoring of compliance with the World Anti-Doping Program.
POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a crucial role in our finance team, contributing to strategic decision-making through comprehensive financial analysis. Your responsibilities will include budgeting, forecasting, and providing insightful recommendations to optimize financial performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and financial modeling, to support key business initiatives;
Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement;
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant financial data and ensure accurate and timely reporting;
Assist in the development of annual budgets and long-term financial plans, providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making;
Analyze process and system design alternatives and recommend improvements to existing financial processes, systems, and controls to augment efficiency and accuracy;
Leads specifications and technical documentation;
Monitor industry trends and economic factors to provide proactive recommendations for risk management and business growth;
Play a key role in financial forecasting, identifying potential risks and opportunities to guide executive decision-making;
Mentor and provide guidance to financial analyst, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) preferred;
Proven experience as a financial analyst, with a minimum of 5 years in progressively responsible roles;
Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and analysis, utilizing tools such as Excel, and experience with financial reporting systems including presentation tools (e.g.: PowerPoint);
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial standards and regulations (preferably IFRS);
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to diverse audiences;
Strategic thinker with the ability to provide actionable insights for informed decision-making;
Detail-oriented, with a commitment to accuracy and meeting tight deadlines;
Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment, demonstrating resilience and a proactive approach to problem-solving;

RESPONSABILITÉS CLÉS
Réalisez des analyses financières approfondies, y compris une analyse des écarts, une analyse des tendances et une modélisation financière, pour soutenir les principales initiatives commerciales;
Préparer et présenter des rapports financiers mensuels, trimestriels et annuels à la haute direction, en mettant en évidence les principaux indicateurs de performance et les domaines à améliorer;
Collaborez avec des équipes interfonctionnelles pour recueillir des données financières pertinentes et assurer une signalisation précise et opportune;
Aider à l'élaboration des budgets annuels et des plans financiers à long terme, en fournissant des informations précieuses pour soutenir la prise de décisions stratégiques;
