World Anti-Doping Agency
Effective 1 January 2020, Rafal Piechota joined WADA as Director of the Office of the President. Mr. Piechota is based in Warsaw, Poland.
Prior to assuming his role at WADA, Rafal was Deputy Director in the office of the Minister of Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Poland – a Ministry with which he held various key roles from 2007 to 2019.
Mr. Piechota has been very involved with WADA and anti-doping for a number of years, including as Deputy Member of the WADA Executive Committee from 2017 to 2019, and as Member of the Agency’s Finance and Administration Committee from 2016 to 2019. He also acted as Vice Chair, and then Chair, of the Ad Hoc European Committee for the World Anti-Doping Agency (CAHAMA) from 2012 to 2019.
