Andy Hoepelman

Andy Hoepelman possesses extensive experience in medicine and infectious diseases, currently serving as a Professor at UMC Utrecht since 1998, where responsibilities include management, patient care, teaching, and research. Since January 2018, Andy has held the position of Vice President and previously President at UZSC Waterpolo. In addition to academic roles, Andy contributes to various expert committees, including the European Commission's group on SARS-CoV-2 variants, the LEN technical waterpolo committee, and ZonMw's COVID-19 commission. Andy's educational background includes an MD and PhD from Utrecht University, further complemented by studies at The Rockefeller University.
