Ahmed Al Qabany is a seasoned professional in climate change and environmental engineering, currently serving as a Senior Climate Change Specialist at The World Bank since August 2021. Prior to this role, significant experience was gained at the Islamic Development Bank, where various positions included Manager of the Climate Change Division and Senior Transport and Urban Development Specialist. Additional roles as an Environmental Specialist and Research Fellow, along with experience as a Design Engineer, have contributed to a well-rounded expertise in sustainable development and environmental consultation. Ahmed holds a PhD in Bio-Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Cambridge, an MSc in Environmental Engineering from The American University in Cairo, and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Cairo University.
