Borja Gonzalez Reguero is an accomplished academic and researcher with a specialization in coastal science, climate change adaptation, and resilience. Currently serving as an Associate Professor at the University of California, Santa Cruz, Borja focuses on climate-resilient engineering, nature-based solutions, and coastal resilience innovation while also holding a role as a Senior Engineer with the World Bank Group. Borja’s expertise extends to disaster risk management and sustainable low-carbon development. A research fellow at the Natural Capital Project, Borja explores the intersection of natural capital and emerging technologies for the blue economy.
