Faisal Baig

Faisal Baig is a seasoned public sector specialist with extensive experience at The World Bank since August 2015, focusing on governance and public administration across multiple countries. Faisal has led initiatives in human resource management, fiscal sustainability, and digital transformation, and played a key role in developing the Worldwide Bureaucracy Indicators (WWBI) dataset. Prior roles include contributions to the governance agenda for public sector wage bill management and diagnostics, along with extensive research on macroprudential policy and labor markets. Faisal's career also encompasses positions at the International Monetary Fund, The University of Chicago, Princeton University, and various organizations in Pakistan, underlining a strong background in policy research and analysis. Faisal holds a Master's degree in Public Policy from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Economics from Lahore University of Management Sciences.
