Nicholas Smith is a Senior Financial Sector Specialist at The World Bank, with experience leading financial projects in various countries across Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as significant contributions to financial sector development in Africa. Previously, Nicholas served as President and Founder of the Buseesa Community Development Centre in Uganda, which focuses on microcredit and community services. Additional roles include Adjunct Professor at American University and a consultant at NORC at the University of Chicago. Nicholas holds a Ph.D. in International Relations from American University, a Master's in African Studies from UCLA, and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Economics and Global Studies from UC Santa Barbara.
