Riccardo Puliti

VP, Infrastructure at World Bank

Riccardo Puliti is the current VP of Infrastructure at the World Bank. Prior to this, they spent 20 years with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), where they rose to the position of Managing Director and Head of the Energy and Natural Resources Business Group. In this role, they were responsible for leading the formulation of the bank's investment strategies in the power, oil & gas, and mining sectors, as well as overseeing a team of 100 professionals managing EUR 10 billion in assets.

In September 2015, Riccardo became a member of the Strategy and Advisory Committee of Interrao OJSC, a Russian electric utilities company. Riccardo served in this role until October 2016, when they joined the World Bank.

Riccardo has also served as a Supervisory Board member and Chairman of the Audit Committee at OMV Petrom, one of the largest integrated oil and gas companies in Southeast Europe, since October 2009. In this role, they have been responsible for supervising the company's risk profile and presenting its long-term dividend policy and annual dividend payout to the Board.

Riccardo Puliti completed a postgraduate course in energy and infrastructure regulation at Harvard Kennedy School. Riccardo then went on to earn a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a concentration in management and finance from IESE Business School.

Riccardo Puliti reports to David Malpass, President, World Bank Group. They are on a team with Alison Evans - Director General, Independent Evaluation Group, Meg Kinnear - Secretary-General, International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes, and Hiroshi Matano - EVP, Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency.
