Founder and CEO at World Cafe Live

Hal Real has significant experience in the entertainment and arts industry. Hal founded World Cafe Live in 2002 and served as the CEO. Hal also co-founded NIVA - National Independent Venue Association in 2020 and holds a position on the board. Additionally, they are the President and Founding Board Member of the National Independent Venue Foundation. Hal Real has held various board and executive roles in organizations such as Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation, The Freire Foundation, People's Light & Theatre, LiveConnections.org, Philadelphia Fringe Arts, Freire Charter School of Wilmington, and Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance.

Hal Real attended Harriton High School from 1967 to 1970, where they completed their high school education. Afterward, they pursued their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Kenyon College, from 1970 to 1974. Following this, they attended Temple University - James E. Beasley School of Law from 1974 to 1977, where they earned their Juris Doctor (JD) degree in law.
