Richard McLaws is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in international development and media. Currently serving as the Content Manager and Resilience Communications Specialist at World Central Kitchen, Richard produces and coordinates media projects focused on clean cooking, food security, and workforce development. Previously, Richard held roles as Press Officer at the United Nations, where daily press releases were crafted based on significant meetings and briefings, and Communications Consultant for the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs, enhancing outreach efforts for disability programs. Richard has also worked as a sub-editor for The Bangkok Post and helped guide evaluation reports at Rapid Asia. With a Master’s degree in International Relations from Boston University and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Northeastern University, Richard brings a robust academic foundation to a diverse professional background.
