Joseph Thomas

Joseph Thomas has served as President and CEO of NextMark Federal Credit Union since October 1994. In addition to this role, Joseph is a Board Member for WORLDWIDE FOUNDATION FOR CREDIT UNIONS INC and World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU), both since 2018 and 2020 respectively. Joseph has been involved with the Virginia Credit Union League since April 2013, holding various leadership positions including Immediate Past Chairman and Chairman for the 2022-2024 term. As a Board Member of Credit Union Mortgage Association since April 2002 and a former Board Director for Credit Union National Association until January 2024, Joseph has contributed to the World Affairs Committee. Joseph holds an MBA in Finance from Averett University and a BA in Foreign Affairs from Assumption University.
