Regional And Geopolitical Affairs - Associate Director at World Economic Forum

Abdellah H. has a strong background in strategic communications and international affairs. Abdellah is currently serving as the Strategic Communications Lead for the World Economic Forum since October 2021. Prior to this, they held the role of Senior Strategic Communications Manager at the Cabinet Office from April 2019 to October 2021. In this position, they were responsible for managing and delivering strategic communications programs and policies, with a particular focus on campaigns, crisis communications, and counter mis/disinformation in the MENA, SSA, and Europe regions. Additionally, Abdellah served as the Deputy Head of Mission for the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office from September 2019 to August 2020, where they managed the embassy and advised the ambassador, with a specific focus on the UK's strategy in Mauritania. Before their experience in government, Abdellah gained valuable experience in project coordination and communication roles, working for organizations such as Trondheim kommune, Search for Common Ground, ISCA - International Sport and Culture Association, and CARE. Abdellah holds an MSc in Management from UCL.

Abdellah H. has pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Management from the UCL School of Management. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Conflict, Governance and International Development from the University of East Anglia. Abdellah H. also holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Politics from the same university. Currently, they are enrolled in the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, where they are pursuing an Executive Strategy Diploma, which is expected to be completed in 2023.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Abdellah H. has obtained several certifications. These include Crisis Management from the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office in October 2019, Diplomatic Academy from the same institution in August 2019, International Negotiation and Public Policy Making from the Cabinet Office in May 2018, Crisis Communications from the Government Communication Service in February 2017, PRINCE2® Foundation and Practitioner Certification Training in Project Management from The Knowledge Academy in November 2016, and a Social and Inclusive Business Certificate from HEC Paris in July 2016.
